This is how we do Easter…

Easter is not normally something we go overly mad on, but this year we did! 😉

My Mum suggested the six of us (my Mum, Dad, Sam, Matt, the grump and me) go to her place for a lamb dinner on Easter Sunday. As she only has a table for four, I suggested we do it at our place, so that’s what we did…

We had a delicious lamb dinner for mains (Thanks Mum!) and then hot waffles with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce (and a little added treat) for pud! 🐤

After dinner, we moved onto Easter crafts…Yes! There was six adults! And, Yes…all six of the adults had a whale of a time gluing, painting and sticking! (I say all six , but I can’t be sure with the grump as his forever expressionless face makes it hard to tell) 🙊

We started off with an Easter bonnet making competition and all I can say on this is…”who decided to give my dad a pot of glue?!” It made it’s way onto everywhere except his blinking bonnet! 😂

We decided not to show one another what we were making (there was a bag of Easter chocolates at stake after all 😝). However, I could see from the shape of the grumps that it wasn’t very Easter themed!

Check them out! Believe it or not, one of the people in this picture has an art degree… 🙈

After the Easter hat making, we moved onto Easter egg decorating…

Luckily, this never involved any glue so my table was finally safe!! It did however, involve blue icing and this time, resulted in ‘the glue culprit’ (a.k.a – my Dad) having blue hands!!!!

Here’s the final masterpieces….notice, half of Matt’s egg didn’t make it, this is because a chunk was taken out of it as soon as it left the packet (how this happened is a mystery to us! 😉) He tells us that this was to get the shark shape, but to be honest…I think the shark thought came after the “I must eat this” thought!

Any guesses as to what they’re meant to be? (Don’t worry, I haven’t a clue either!)

Matt then decided to make a Minion….

All things considered, I don’t think we quite managed to surpass the efforts of the three year old Granddaughter of my fellow blogger Grandma By The Sea, but we honestly had such a laugh this day! Great food, lots of giggles and the best company…it really was the perfect Easter Sunday! And a very successful dinner party (even if I do say so myself). Ok, ok, so we didn’t make the dinner…but we did get the waffles! 😉

Oh yeah…just one more thing to leave you with…

Nope! I have no idea what it is either……
